Finding a reliable contractor usually means chasing qualifications, comparing trades and sorting through paperwork. ScopeMark set out to make that process simpler and more trustworthy, and Apptology designed and built the platform.

The challenge
Companies and property managers needed a faster way to find qualified trades and check their details before a project starts. Contractors, in turn, needed a professional way to present their business and stand out to the right customers.
What we built
A mobile platform where contractors create a business profile, submit their documents for review and showcase their services, while companies and property managers discover verified contractors, review profiles and connect with confidence.

A verified tradesperson
A tradesperson builds a profile and submits documents, and the admin team reviews them before the profile goes live.
Screens are real. Payment timing and fees are as stated by ScopeMark.
The result
ScopeMark is live on Google Play, with regular updates adding new features. Homeowner access is planned as the platform grows.
How ScopeMark works
ScopeMark is a verified trades marketplace in Ottawa with two sides, and the app had to work well for both.
For tradespeople
Licensed electricians, locksmiths and door and hardware installers build a profile, submit their documents for verification and get access to commercial clients. According to ScopeMark, tradespeople are paid within 24 hours of each completed milestone and pay a 5% fee per completed job.
For companies and property managers
Service seekers find verified contractors ready to dispatch, use AI to help define the scope of a job, track work milestone by milestone with payments held in escrow, and receive one monthly invoice instead of one from every contractor.
Our role
Apptology handled the product from first screens to launch: user experience and interface design, the Android app, the backend and admin tools for reviewing contractor documents, notifications and publishing on Google Play.
